Gorgeous mountain location, far from the beaten track. Every aspect of the house, from the decor to the linen, was lovingly chosen to preserve a traditional feel. Nostalgic experience. Friendly and welcoming host. Charming and unique village. Comfortable beds. Delightful inside and out.
Sleeping quarters upstairs from bathroom. Musty smell upon arrival, but easily fixed.

I absolutely loved my weekend getaway in Central Portugal. the first thing that struck me was the charming and historic village I stayed in. It felt like stepping back in time with its old stone cottages and narrow streets. the second great thing about this place was the warm and welcoming owner. He made sure I felt right at home and even served a delicious homemade meal. Lastly, the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding nature. the views of the forested mountains and valley were breathtaking, and I enjoyed hiking along the nearby trails.
The only downside to my stay was the lack of modern amenities. the fact that the place didn't accept credit cards caused a bit of confusion when securing my reservation.

Spent Christmas here and had a cozy apartment with a weak heater and iron stove. the location was in an old village nestled in the mountains, perfect for hiking. the beautiful nature surrounding the village was breathtaking.
The apartment had a low temperature upon arrival, which made it uncomfortable during winter. Payment confusion due to the inability to accept credit cards, especially for non-EU travelers.

The lack of credit card payment option caused some confusion during the reservation process.

We had an amazing stay in a charming village nestled in the mountains. the host greeted us warmly and the views from the balcony were breathtaking. the traditional Schist cottage provided a unique and cozy atmosphere. the cottage had everything we needed, including hot water, electricity, and good wifi. the breakfast was basic but satisfying. We loved exploring the narrow passages and hiking the beautiful trails nearby.
The communication regarding key arrangements could have been clearer.

The mountain location of this hotel provides breathtaking views and unique hiking trails. Previous guests have raved about the cozy rooms, comfortable beds, and the nostalgic charm of the decor. the Taberna in the nearby village offers limited but interesting meals for a taste of local cuisine.
One negative aspect is that English-speaking guests might need to ensure they have a detailed explanation in English on how to enter the house if the owner is not available in person.
